How can I apply?
Everybody who has done (bio)medical research while being a student is allowed to send in an abstract using application form on this website.

 

What is the difference between active and passive participation?
You can either apply as an active or passive participant. Active means, you want to present your work at the congress. Passive means, you will be able to listen to other's presentations and enjoy social program, without presenting anything.

How can I prepare for the congress?
Once you have been fully registered, you will know if you do a poster or oral presentation and in which session you will be placed.

 

Do I have to pay my own travel costs to Novi Sad?
Since this is our first IMSCNS you will have to cover all your travel expenses by yourself.

 

Do I have to pay my accomodation in Novi Sad?
Yes, you will have to cover your accomodation expenses by yourself.

 

Is it possible, that several persons apply as authors for one presentation?
Only one person is alowed to present and therefore has to be the exclusive author. Other persons, working on the same project, may apply with an own abstract, can be mentioned as co-authors and can be registered as passive participants.

 

Where will I be accommodated during the conference? Do I have a choice?
Both active and passive participants will be accommodated in the hotel or student hostel during the congress regarding their choice on the application form and availability of places. Both hotel and hostel are aprox 5 minutes walking from Medical faculty Novi Sad where congress will take place. Since we have limited number of rooms in student hostel, bookings will be made on "first come, first serve" basis. It is possible to book some extra nights on your personal expense. You can find a list of other hotels in Novi Sad on this website but booking will be your responsibility.

 

When do I pay the registration fee?
If you are accepted to the congress we will send you an email with bank information and instructions for money transfer. The registration fee of 40 euro for active participants needs to be paid in advance. If you are a passive participant and like to join our social program you also have to pay your registration fee of 40 euro in advance.

 

Can you please send me an invitation letter?
If you are accepted to the conference we will send you an invitation letter and an email with bank information and instructions for money transfer. For active participants we will help to arrange a visa if necessary.

 

Social Activities - Will I have opportunities to meet other people?
There will be various social events (dinners, parties, guided tours…) that will allow students to socialize with each other and learn something about our beautiful city. Dinners and receptions will also allow students to come into contact with new students, academic professionals, and researchers. We will also organize a post-congress tour, which is optional and can be selected at the registration website. The program will be published as soon as it is available.
